Hello world!

DistrICT Education is a blog maintained by a group of ICT developers and tries to provide course material and updates on various topics in information technology. We strive to ensure a certain level of quality and try to reference other articles, websites and books where possible. Should you encounter a mistake or would like to make suggestions, feel free to post your messages in the comment section under each article.

The articles on this website are organized into the following categories. However, note that some categories do not yet have any articles associated with them. Some articles might also still be under construction.

  • Mobile technology : Articles in this category introduce mobile technologies like Android, Mobile jQuery and HTML5.
  • Programming : Articles in this category try to explain the basics and more advanced concepts of computer programming in general. In these articles we also try to teach and/or illustrate some of the specifics of certain programming languages, like for example Java, PHP, and JavaScript.
  • Software design : Articles in this category introduce design tools and techniques for requirement analysis and software development.
  • Systems and architectures : Articles in this category deal with aspects of software systems and architectures. For example architectural decisions when designing a distributed system, developing applications using distributed middleware et cetera.
  • User interface design : Articles in this category introduce design techniques for creating, analyzing and improving user interfaces. The focus in these articles lies on usability.
  • Web technology : Articles in this category deal with web technologies like PHP, JSP and JavaScript.

Under “Concepts” you can find a number of articles about IT related concepts. Most of the pages of planned topics are still under construction.

NOTE : If you like our project and would like to write and publish your own article on our site, feel free to contact us! Alternatively, you can also contact us for a request to make an article on a specific subject. I will add a warning though that we can’t make any promises on how long it would take to write such an article.
